Note: please reach out to support@deledao.com to request the most up to date cert (.cer) and the custom PAC URL you will need for the deployment. Also, please confirm if your devices are setup 1:1 in your MDM. This will help our team provide you with the correct PAC URL configuration for the below steps.

1. Push the .cer Certificate (Jamf School)

  1. Go to Profiles → Overview (in the sidebar).

  2. Click + Create Profile.

  3. Select iOS (or iPadOS) as the platform.

  4. Choose the enrollment type (usually Device Enrollment for managed devices).

  5. Give the profile a clear Name (e.g., “Deledao Root Certificate”).

  6. In the profile editor, add the Certificates payload.

  7. Upload your .cer file.

  8. Save / Continue.

  9. On the next screen (or Scope/Assignment), assign it to the desired Device Group(s) or Smart Group.

  10. Set it to Install Automatically (this is usually the default).

2. Push the PAC URL (Separate Profile Recommended)

  1. Again: Profiles → Overview → + Create Profile.

  2. Select iOS → appropriate enrollment type.

  3. Name it (e.g., “Deledao Global HTTP Proxy”).

  4. Add the Global HTTP Proxy payload.

  5. Configure:

    • Proxy Type: Auto

    • Proxy PAC URL: Paste your full Deledao PAC URL

    • (Optional) Disable “Allow users to change proxy settings” to lock it down.

  6. Save / Continue.

  7. Assign to the same Device Group(s).

  8. Set to Install Automatically.

Quick Tips for Jamf School:

  • You can combine both payloads (Certificates + Global HTTP Proxy) into one single profile if you prefer.

  • Many schools keep them separate so you can update the PAC URL later without re-pushing the certificate.

  • After saving, the profile pushes automatically to assigned devices (as long as they’re enrolled and online).

  • On the iPad: Check Settings → General → VPN & Device Management (or Profiles) to see installed profiles.

  • Certificate trust: Users may still need to manually trust it in Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings.
