District SiteBanks allow administrators to create collections of district-approved websites that teachers can easily add to their classroom SiteBanks. This helps ensure consistent access to commonly used educational resources while reducing setup time for teachers.


District SiteBanks are managed in the Deledao Admin Console and can be selected by teachers when creating or editing their own Allow SiteBanks in ActiveInstruct™.


Note: District SiteBanks are intended to provide approved resources to teachers. They cannot be directly applied to classrooms and must be selected within a teacher's Allow SiteBank.


Benefits of District SiteBanks

District SiteBanks help administrators:

  • Standardize access to commonly used educational resources.
  • Reduce the need for teachers to manually enter website URLs.
  • Promote district-approved instructional tools.
  • Simplify classroom setup.
  • Ensure teachers have quick access to subscription-based services and curriculum resources.


Create a District SiteBank

To create a new District SiteBank, sign in to the Deledao Admin Console and navigate to ActiveInstruct > District SiteBank.



  1. Click Create New Allow SiteBank.
  2. Enter the SiteBank Name.
  3. Add the desired websites.
  4. Click Save.

The SiteBank will then be available for teachers to select when configuring their classroom SiteBanks.


Add Websites

Websites can be added individually.

To add a website:

  1. Enter the website URL.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Repeat until all desired websites have been added.
  4. Click Save.



Import Websites

If you have a large number of websites to add, you may be able to import them instead of entering each one individually.

This is especially useful when creating SiteBanks for:

  • Curriculum resources
  • District software subscriptions
  • State testing platforms
  • Digital learning tools

After importing the websites, review the list and click Save.


Common Use Cases

District Software Subscriptions

Many districts purchase subscriptions that are used across multiple schools and grade levels.


Create a District SiteBank named District Subscriptions.

Examples might include:

  • Lexia
  • Discovery Education
  • Newsela
  • BrainPOP
  • Renaissance
  • Nearpod

Teachers can then select the SiteBank without needing to locate or enter each URL.


State Testing Resources

Create a SiteBank containing testing resources required by your state.


Example:

State Testing Resources

This SiteBank could include:

  • Assessment portals
  • Practice tests
  • Testing support websites

Teachers can apply these resources during testing preparation and administration.


Curriculum Resources

Create subject-specific SiteBanks such as:

  • Elementary Curriculum
  • Middle School Curriculum
  • High School Curriculum

These SiteBanks can contain approved instructional resources aligned with district curriculum standards.


Research Resources

Create a SiteBank of approved research tools.


Example:

Research Databases


This may include:

  • Britannica
  • Gale
  • EBSCO

Teachers can quickly provide students access to trusted research materials.


How Teachers Use District SiteBanks

Once a District SiteBank has been created:

  1. Teachers open their Allow SiteBank.
  2. Select the desired District SiteBank.
  3. Save their SiteBank configuration.


The approved websites become available without the teacher having to manually enter each URL.

This makes it easier for teachers to use district-approved resources while maintaining consistency across classrooms.



Best Practices

  • Create District SiteBanks for resources used by multiple schools or grade levels.
  • Group websites by purpose, such as curriculum, testing, subscriptions, or research.
  • Use clear and descriptive names so teachers can easily identify the appropriate District SiteBank.
  • Review District SiteBanks periodically and remove outdated resources.
  • Consider creating separate SiteBanks for different grade bands or subject areas.


By using District SiteBanks, administrators can simplify classroom setup, promote consistency across the district, and ensure teachers have quick access to approved educational resources.
