Troubleshooting
Installation Does Not Complete
Verify that:
- Other filtering software has been removed.
- Previous filtering certificates have been removed.
- Rosetta is installed on Apple Silicon devices.
- Pop-up blocking has been disabled during setup.
PAC File Does Not Apply
Verify that:
- The PAC URL was copied from the Admin Console.
- Auto Proxy Configuration is enabled.
- The URL was entered correctly with no extra spaces.
Filtering Does Not Work
Confirm:
- The proxy software is installed.
- The PAC file URL is configured correctly.
- The device has internet access.
- The Admin Console deployment settings have been completed.
Best Practices
- Remove legacy filtering products before deployment.
- Use this deployment method for individually managed devices only.
- For large-scale Mac deployments, consider using an MDM solution to automate installation and configuration.
- Verify filtering functionality immediately after deployment by testing access to websites that are expected to be blocked by your filtering policies.
This deployment method provides a simple way to enable Deledao filtering on standalone Mac devices without requiring centralized device management.
